The first week is recruitment tags, the base, and not spending the limited banner currency by accident.
What is verified
Recruitment runs from 1 to 9 hours in 10-minute steps. Longer timers are less likely to strike a tag. At 9 hours, Top Operator and Senior Operator are not struck unless you also pick a tag that conflicts, such as Starter.
Rerolling is described on the wiki as still an option because a few operators are strong starts. It is not required.

Spend the beginner orundum on a banner you can name. The pity page explains why a limited banner is the one people wait for.
