Third parties

YouTube, operated by Google. A video stays as a thumbnail button. After you press play, the page inserts an iframe to https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/. Google may then set its own cookies and read the video id. Purpose: playback. Legal basis: your click, which we treat as consent. Retention: Google’s own policy. The served HTML has no script src pointing at youtube.com.

Adsterra serves the ads on this site, and only after you accept: no invoker script is in the served HTML, and the page creates both tags from JavaScript once you choose Accept. The placements are a Native Banner (ad unit 31765071) inside the page and a floating Social Bar (ad unit 31765072) at the bottom, both on Adsterra website id 6127615 under publisher id 3403020, category Social, with adult ads switched off. Purpose: paying for the site. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: Adsterra’s own policy; while an ad is on the page Adsterra can set its own cookies or local storage on bicea.org.

Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XD802XGX18, googletagmanager.com) loads with the page, but all four Consent Mode v2 storage types start denied and ads_data_redaction is on, so it writes no cookie until you accept. Purpose: audience measurement. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: Google’s own policy.

Microsoft Clarity (project id yyntw37bfb, clarity.ms) records heatmaps and session replays. The tag is not in the served HTML either; the page injects it only after you accept and removes it again if you withdraw. Purpose: seeing which parts of a page get read. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: Microsoft’s own policy.

Cloudflare serves the pages as host and CDN, routes mail for [email protected], and rewrites plain email addresses on the page into /cdn-cgi/l/email-protection links, which is the one Cloudflare script in the served HTML. Purpose: hosting, security, spam control. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site.

Adsterra is the only advertising system here: no Google AdSense tag, no second network, no popunder format, and no comment backend. Personalized-advertising controls for other sites are at https://adssettings.google.com/ and https://optout.aboutads.info/.

Fonts are files we host. The browser does not call fonts.googleapis.com.

Cookies and localStorage

We set two localStorage keys of our own. ak_consent is JSON with choice (accepted or rejected), at (time of the choice), and expires (180 days later). ak_ads_closed is set to 1 when you close the floating Social Bar so it stays closed on later page views, and a fresh Accept clears it. We do not set a cookie of our own.

After you accept, Google Analytics 4 can write the cookies _ga and _ga_*, Microsoft Clarity can write _clck and _clsk, and Adsterra can write its own cookies or local storage on bicea.org while an ad is on the page. Rejecting, or clearing site data for arknights.lol, removes the ad and replay tags along with the stored keys.

A browser Global Privacy Control signal (navigator.globalPrivacyControl) is stored as rejected, the banner stays closed, and no ad, replay or analytics tag is injected.

Do Not Track is not a separate switch. GPC is the signal we honor. You can reopen the choice with Cookie settings in the footer, and withdrawing removes what this page already injected.

We change this policy by editing this page and adding a line to the changelog. The date under the title is the date of the text.
